Do My Linh (L), Miss Vietnam 2016, and Tran Tieu Vy (R), Miss Vietnam 2018, named as ambassadors for the Miss World Vietnam pageant (Source: baomoi.com.vn) Hanoi (VNA) – The Miss World Vietnam beauty pageant officially kickedoff on April 22.
The competition aims to select a contestantto represent Vietnam at the Miss World pageant which will take place inThailand in November.
Le Xuan Son, editor-in-chief of newspaperTien Phong, was appointed as head of the beauty pageant’s judging panel thisyear.
Ha Kieu Anh, Miss Vietnam 1992, was alsoselected as a judge whilst Do My Linh, Miss Vietnam 2016, and Tran Tieu Vy,Miss Vietnam 2018, were named as ambassadors for the Miss World Vietnampageant.
The southern region’s final round isscheduled to be held in Nha Trang while the northern region’s final round willtake place in Ha Long Bay in northern Quang Ninh province and Hanoi.
The pageant’s final round is scheduled tobe organised in August in the central city of Da Nang.
Miss World is widely considered one of themost reputable beauty pageants in the world which Vietnam has sent a number ofrepresentatives to over the years. Two beauties who achieved remarkable successat the Miss World pageant, include Nguyen Thi Huyen who finished in the top 15of Miss World 2004, and Do My Linh who won the Beauty with a Purpose award.-VNA
