Lam Dong (VNA) - The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival will be held for a month, starting with its opening ceremony on December 5, the organiser announced on October 29.

Featuring 45 programmes, the festival aims to elevate its profile to a national and international level, and continue helping to establish Da Lat, a locality in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, as a "city of flower festival" and a UNESCO Creative City in music.

Themed “Da Lat Flowers – Symphony of Colours”, it will include ten main events such as a New Year’s music show, an international seminar on green tourism and cultural industries, a “wine - tea - coffee street,” and a flower parade with floats and fashion.

Flower displays will cover central locations like Xuan Huong Lake and extend to parks and neighbourhoods, with strong participation from local businesses and residents.

Some foreign units and localities having cooperative ties with Lam Dong and Da Lat will also take part in several programmes.

The opening ceremony will be televised live on December 5, and the closing show on December 31.

Lam Dong aims to draw 2 million visitors during the festival, said Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and head of the organising board Pham S./.
