Football tournament among Vietnamese in support of Lao children with disabilities

The 10th Vietnam Youth Football Tournament in Laos wrapped up on October 27 with gifts given to children with disabilities in Vientiane.

Vientiane (VNA) – The 10th Vietnam Youth Football Tournament in Laos wrapped up on October 27 with gifts given to children with disabilities in Vientiane.

First held 10 years ago, the tournament has become a pool of resources to support hearing and visually impaired children and those with other disabilities in the host country.

This year, the tournament took place from October 5-27, with the participation of seven teams from groups and clubs of Vietnamese people in Laos.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the tournament, Counsellor Nguyen Thi Thuan at the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos said that it left strong impressions of the spirit of sports and solidarity among players and teams.

On this occasions, she also thanked the sponsors and Vietnamese community in Laos for their support to children with disabilities in Vientiane./.
