Mobile app promotes Vietnamese sports delegation at SEA Games 32

The Vietnam Sports Administration under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched the “The thao Vietnam” (Vietnam Sports) mobile application to support the promotion of the Vietnamese sports delegation to the upcoming 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) in Cambodia.

Hanoi (VNA) –The Vietnam Sports Administration under the Ministry of Culture, Sports andTourism has launched the “The thao Vietnam” (Vietnam Sports) mobile applicationto support the promotion of the Vietnamese sports delegation to the upcoming 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) in Cambodia.

The app, which providesofficial information of the Vietnamese sport sector, is available in bothAndroid and IOS, helping users easily access information of sports activities,rules of particular sports, and achievements of athletes at domestic andinternational tournaments.

Vietnam SportsAdministration Vice Director Ngo Thinh Huong said that the app is part of theagency’s efforts to catch up with the digital transformation trend and meet thepublic demands for fast, accurate and mainstream information anytime andanywhere.

Particularly, images andnews of the Vietnamese delegation, as well as the competition schedule of each sports,the performance of the athletes and the medal table at the SEA Games 32 will beupdated continuously, accurately and quickly on the app, she said.

Earlier, the official outfitcollection of the Vietnamese sports delegation in 2023 called “Play like achampion” was introduced, featuring a dominant red andnavy tone and is accentuated by five-pointed stars and stylised with dragonscales.

Vietnam is sending a 1,003-strong sportdelegation to the SEA Games 32, about 700 of them athletes, together withcoaches, doctors and experts.

SEA Games 32 will beheld in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, and Kep in Cambodia fromMay 5 to 17.

At the SEA Games 32,Vietnam aims for 90-120 gold medals to enter the top three on the medal tally.

As host of SEA Games31, Vietnam topped the medal table with 205 golds. Thailand came second with 92 and Indonesia third with 69./.
