MoET requests increasing televised, online lessons amid COVID-19 outbreak

The Ministry of Education and Training has requested its provincial-level departments nationwide to increase televised and online lessons for students since all schools remain closed as part of efforts to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

– The Ministry of Education andTraining has requested its provincial-level departments nationwide to increase televised andonline lessons for students since all schools remain closed as part of effortsto stem the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The education and training departments across the country mustdirect and instruct schools to streamline curriculum and broadcast lessons ontelevision and the Internet so the students can study at home, the ministrysaid in a notice.

They were tasked to help schools select onlineteaching tools suitable to their conditions and at the same time ensure thequality of the lessons, the notice said, adding that the Hanoi NationalUniversity of Education will provide free help to schools in this matter.

Lessons broadcast in one city or province can be shared andre-broadcast in others, it added.

The departments must inform teachers, students and theirfamilies about broadcast schedules for different subjects, which must also bereported to the ministry.

Teachers are responsible for guiding students to attendtelevised and online lessons and keeping close contact with their families tosupervise their study on the television and Internet.

After the students go back to school, the schools areassigned to review and assess their learning outcomes./.
