The Ministry of Industry and Trade is currently taking the lead in the removal of business conditions and goods subject to specialised examination (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Industryand Trade (MoIT) is currently taking the lead in the removal of business conditions and goods from the list of those subject to specialised examination,according to a report of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s working group.
It has removed 402 or 57.3 percent of the 702goods from the list, the report said. The ministry is followed by the Ministryof Information and Communications (89), the Ministry of Labour, Invalids andSocial Affairs (33), and the Ministry of Science and Technology (22).
As of August 2018, ministries had simplifiedprocedures relating to 606 or just 6.5 percent of the 9,339 commodities. TheMoIT and the communications ministry are also the best performers in this work.
Another 832 categories of goods still need to beremoved, but there haven’t been detailed documents on this issue.
In general, the rate of goods excluded from thelist subject to specialised examination is only 15.1 percent, still lowcompared to the set target, the working group said.
Meanwhile, four ministries have officially cut900 of the 5,905 business conditions, the group said, adding that the MoIT alsoranks first in this regard with 675 or 55.5 percent of its 1,216 conditionscut. The Ministry of Construction is in the second place with 183 of the 215.
By August, more than 2,360 business conditions, or40 percent of the total, had been planned to be reduced but relevant ministrieshadn’t regulated on this work.
Earlier this year, the Prime Minister requestedministries and sectors to submit plans on how to cut down or streamline 50percent of their business conditions by August 15. Administrative reforms areviewed as a key measure to boost growth.–VNA
