Eight more foreign tourists on board a sunken boat in Indonesia were rescued on August 18, bringing the number of the lucky to 23, while two others still missing.
The survivors were found around 100km off the east of Sumbawa island, some in a lifeboat and some floating with life jackets, said Budiawan, head of the Search and Rescue Office.
He said that the rescued victims are in Sape city, but did not specify their nationality.
The boat with 25 people on board sank due to bad weather on August 16 while en route to Pulau Komodo (Komodo island) from Lombok island.
To date, 18 foreign tourists and five Indonesian crew members have been saved. Search is underway for the two missing foreign passengers.-VNA
