Hanoi (VNA) – More than 91,600 workers were sent abroad for work in the first eight months of this year, or 76.38 percent of the yearly plan, said the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs’ Department of Overseas Labour.
Of the figure, more than 30,700 were women.
The top recipient markets were Japan with 45,622 workers (16,813 women), followed by Taiwan with 36,825 (12,504 women), the Republic of Korea 5,536 (392 women), Romania 1,103 (41 women), Saudi Arabia 807 (608 women), Macao 312 (171 women), and Malaysia 304 (137 women)./.
