- A Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang attended the BRICS Dialogue with Developing Countries in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod on June 11 (local time).

The dialogue, part of the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Summit hosted by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, drew foreign ministers from 10 BRICS member countries, ministers and deputy foreign ministers from 12 guest countries. Read full story

- Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc on June 11 held a reception for a visiting delegation from the war veterans association of Vientiane, headed by President Phalom Linthong.

Loc requested the municipal war veterans association to work with related agencies and units to foster collaboration with the Vientiane counterpart toward practical outcomes, contributing to solidarity and friendship between the two nations. Read full story

- Vietnam will promote the transition to technologies that utilise substances with low or zero global warming potential, and roll out sustainable cooling solutions to cut emissions by 11.2 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent by 2045 under a national plan on the management and elimination of ozone-depleting substances signed by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on June 11.

- As many as 64,758 enterprises entered the market in the first five months of this year, marking the highest number ever recorded, and a 4.5% increase from the same time last year, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI)’s Business Registration Management Agency.

- In a collaborative effort between the Forest Protection Department of the southern province of Bac Lieu and Phat Quang Pagoda, nine wild animals were released back into their natural habitat at U Minh Ha National Park in the southernmost province of Ca Mau on June 11.

The animals, which included six wildcats and three toothed turtles, were handed over by local residents following a call to action by Phat Quang Pagoda in Bac Lieu. The pagoda later worked with the Forest Protection Department to ensure their safe return to the wild, said its Abbot Venerable Thien Phuc. Read full story
