- The Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee on September 10 launched a campaign in support of victims of Typhoon Yagi in Hanoi on September 10 with Party General Secretary and State President To Lam attending.

The typhoon, the strongest to hit Vietnam in decades, and the subsequent torrential rains, floods, landslides, and bridge collapse had left 146 people dead or missing as of 13:00 on September 10. Read full story

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held a meeting in Hanoi on September 10 with visiting Party General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith who is leading a high-ranking delegation of the Lao Party and State on a State-level visit to Vietnam.

- National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on September 10 as part of his official visit to Russia.

- National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Gennady Zyuganov, the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF), and Sergey Mironov, Chairman of A Just Russia - Patriots - For Truth (SR) party, in Moscow on September 10.

At these meetings, the NA leader expressed gratitude for the invaluable and sincere support provided by the Soviet Union, now the Russian Federation, during Vietnam's past struggle for national independence and reunification, as well as in its current development efforts. He stressed that the bilateral relationship continues to strengthen through high-level exchanges, including the recent state visit to Vietnam by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Read full story

- Mozambican President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi and his spouse left Hanoi on September 10 evening, concluding their three-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and his spouse.

- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son hosted a reception in Hanoi on September 9 for Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Pak Sang Gil.

Son lauded the significance of the visit as the two countries approach the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year, suggesting that the two foreign ministries maintain close coordination, facilitate all-level delegation exchanges to strengthen the friendship, and mutual understanding and trust, and effectively implement existing cooperation agreements.
