MTA Vietnam 2016 to open in HCM City
The 14th International Precision Engineering, Machine Tools and Metalworking Exhibition and Conference will be organised in HCM City from July 5-8.

The event will feature a strong lineup of companies representing the industry value chain. These include Akyapak, DMG MORI, Ficep, Guehring, GF Machining Solutions, Goodway, Haas, Hoffmann Quality Tools, Hurco, Hwacheon, LITZ, Makino, Mazak and Mitsubishi Electric.
The return of MTA Vietnam comes at a time when the country is receiving an increasingly high level of foreign direct investment (FDI) and becoming a prominent manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia, due in part to recently signed free trade agreements, the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community and prospects for the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Vietnamese companies, especially small- and medium-sized enterprises, have been urged to upgrade industrial technology and improve productivity in order to move up the value chain and enhance their competitive advantage.
The Industrial Production Index in Vietnam rose 7.9 percent on the year in April, which marked an acceleration compared to the 6.2 percent increase recorded in March, when the processing and manufacturing industry led the way with year-on-year growth of 12.5 percent, according to the General Statistics Office.-VNA
