Hanoi (VNA) – The Myanmar government has lifted the state of emergency imposed on western Rakhine state since 2012, according to an announcement of the country’s President's Office on March 29.
The state of emergency was lifted across the state as no more threats to lives and property of the people were found, the announcement said.
The announcement came days before a new government is to take office.
