Myanmar’s ambassador awarded with friendship insignia

Hanoi (VNA) – Myanmar’s Ambassador Win Hlaing was awarded with the insignia “For peace and friendship among nations” during a ceremony in Hanoi on June 29.

Addressing the awarding ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Bui Khac Son said during his tenure from 2014 to 2016, Hlaing has contributed to friendship and cooperation between the two countries through regular exchanges among leaders and positive progress of people-to-people exchanges, as evidenced by the establishment of the Vietnam-Myanmar Friendship Association.

Son wished that the ambassador will make continued contributions to bilateral ties in any position in the future.

The ambassador, for his part, thanked relevant Vietnamese agencies for their close support over the past years during his tenure.

He said memories about Vietnam and the people will stay forever in his heart.

He wished that friendship between Vietnam and Myanmar would ceaselessly grow.-VNA
