Assembly Vice Chairman Somphan Phengkhammy, who is on a visit to
Vietnam, in Hanoi on March 11.
Chairman Hung spoke highly of the outcome of the working session between officials of the two NAs and asked both sides to further cooperation as well as enhance the sharing of law making experience and delegation exchange.
He briefed the guest on the new points of Vietnam’s new Constitution and highlighted the role of the NA and People’s Councils in realising socio-economic development plans.
At the meeting, the Lao NA Vice Chairman thanked Vietnam for creating favourable conditions for the Lao delegation during the visit.
He expressed his hope to learn more from the operation of Vietnamese local governments so as to build models appropriate to Laos.-VNA
