Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu suggested Vietnam and Russian continue experience sharing in law and justice and the training of judicial officers while receiving Russian Minister of Justice A.V. Konovalov in Hanoi on November 20.
Luu welcomed the outcomes of the working session between the minister and his Vietnamese counterpart, saying that he is delighted at the fine development of the two countries’ cooperation in this field.
He stressed that the Vietnamese Party, State, Government and people continually bear in mind the valuable support by the Soviet Union in the past and Russia at present for the country’s past struggle for national liberation and unification, and its current nation-building and development process.
Vietnam attaches special importance to development its comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia, he affirmed.
Konovalov, in turn, spoke highly of Vietnam’s achievements in judicial reform. He stated that his working visit aims to intensify bilateral cooperation in this field so as to further deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership.
Russia is willing to share its experience in the fields of law, justice and judicial reform with Vietnam, he added.-VNA
