Hanoi(VNA) - National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and visiting Vice President Koshiishi Azuma of Japan's House of Councillors have shared their contentment toward the growing Vietnam-Japan relationship since it was elevated to extensive strategic partnership.
In 2015, the two countries exchanged senior official delegations, including Japan visits made by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, and NA Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, as well as a recent Vietnam visit of President of Japan's House of Councillors Yamazaki Masaaki, the host and guest said at their talks in Hanoi on December 14.
The talks brought up the subject of strengthening affiliations between the two nations and parliaments.
As such, major cooperation fields included building the legal system, infrastructure, human resources training, and mine clearance.
Boosting exchanges of legislative delegations and liaison among friendship associations and youth was also focus of Vietnam-Japan engagements moving forwards.

Besides new official development assistance commitments, Vietnam and Japan expect to sign a number of important cooperation deals in agriculture during Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to Japan.
