Nam Dinh police bust drug trafficking ring

Police in the northern province of Nam Dinh announced on January 25 they had arrested two drug dealers and seized 45kg of synthetic drug and 30 heroin bricks.

NamDinh (VNA) – Police in the northern province of Nam Dinh announcedon January 25 they had arrested two drug dealers and seized 45kg of syntheticdrug and 30 heroin bricks.

According to the provincial police, they smashed a trafficking ring thatillegally transported synthetic drug from Laos to northern provinces for salevia the Bo Y border gate in Ngoc Hoi district, the Central Highlands provinceof Kon Tum.

Thetwo dealers are Nguyen Thi Quyen, born in 1971, from Hung Tien commune, Kim Sondistrict, Ninh Binh province, and Dao Thi Lan, born in 1979, from Yen Ninh town,Yen Khanh district, Ninh Binh province.

Theywere caught red-handed in Nghia Son commune, Nghia Hung district whentransporting the drugs on motorbikes on January 23.

Director of the Nam Dinh Police Dang Van Sinh said the drugs were put in smallplastic bags hidden in their luggage to avoid attention of authorities.

Furtherinvestigation into the case is underway.-VNA

Resettlement, site clearance for Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear plant gets underway

According to the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee, the resettlement and site clearance project carries a total investment of about 6.7 trillion VND (about 255 million USD).
