Nam Dinh (VNA) – Police in the northern province of Nam Dinh announced on January 25 they had arrested two drug dealers and seized 45kg of synthetic drug and 30 heroin bricks.
According to the provincial police, they smashed a trafficking ring that illegally transported synthetic drug from Laos to northern provinces for sale via the Bo Y border gate in Ngoc Hoi district, the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum.
The two dealers are Nguyen Thi Quyen, born in 1971, from Hung Tien commune, Kim Son district, Ninh Binh province, and Dao Thi Lan, born in 1979, from Yen Ninh town, Yen Khanh district, Ninh Binh province.
They were caught red-handed in Nghia Son commune, Nghia Hung district when transporting the drugs on motorbikes on January 23.
Director of the Nam Dinh Police Dang Van Sinh said the drugs were put in small plastic bags hidden in their luggage to avoid attention of authorities.
Further investigation into the case is underway.-VNA
