The 2012 Vietnam Craft Village Fair will take place in the northern province of Nam Dinh from September 25-30.

Jointly organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in cooperation with the Nam Dinh People’s Committee, the aims to boost trade and tourism, promote craft villages and their products and spotlight local craftsmen.

It will also help to retain and develop the nation’s cultural identities.

So far, craftsmen and trade villages from 37 cities and provinces nationwide have registered to display their products from stands booths at the fair.

While the fair is running, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will liaise with Nam Dinh province to hold a workshop to promote the development of craft villages alongside tourism development.-VNA
