Nation plans special Tet programme for OVs

A special programme will be held to welcome overseas Vietnamese (OVs) when they return home on the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.
A special programme will be held to welcome overseas Vietnamese (OVs) when they return home on the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese said the programme, entitled “Spring 2010 in Home Land”, will include a cultural festival of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups, a banquet offered by state and party leaders, an arts performance and festivities celebrating the 1000 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

Top State and Party leaders will attend the programme held at the Thang Long citadel relic site in Hanoi on February 6, said the committee.

At present, there are about four million of Vietnamese people living and working in over 100 countries and territories in the world./.
