Hanoi (VNA) – Chairman of the NationalAssembly (NA) Vuong Dinh Hue asked legislators to thoroughly scrutinisethe draft revised land law so as to ensure its highest quality, while delivering openingremarks at the fifth extraordinary meeting of the 15th legislatureon January 15.

The document, together with the draft revised law oncredit institutions, is expected to be adopted at the meeting, which willconclude on January 18.

Stressing the importance of the draft revised Land Law to politics, socioeconomic development, national defense and security, andenvironmental protection, the leader said it had been tabled for discussion atmany meetings and received feedback from experts, scientists, and citizens.

After adjustments, the bill comprises 16 chaptersand 260 articles, he said, adding that it is eligible to be submitted to thelegislature for consideration and approval.

For the draft revised law on credit institutions,Hue noted that it is directly associated with financial and monetary policies and macroeconomic stability, and urged the legislators to give comprehensiveopinions.

With 15 chapters and 210 articles, the law isexpected to help ensure the health, transparency, and stability of the domestic banking sector as well as credit institutions, hesaid.

Touching upon the draft resolution involving specialmechanisms and policies to accelerate the implementation of national targetprogrammes, to be adopted on this occasion, the leader said the feasibility of each specific regulations should be considered at the meeting.

The deputies are also scheduled to look into someurgent finance and budget matters, including the capital supplementof the mid-term public investment plan with central budget capital for 2021-2025from the general reserve source. They will also review the capital supplement of the mid-termpublic investment plan for the Vietnam Electricity from the reserve source ofthe mid-term public investment plan.

Hue emphasised that the meeting is significant tothe implementation of the resolution adopted at the 13th NationalParty Congress and the 2021-2025 socioeconomic development plan, towards the14th National Party Congress.

The leader called on the legislators to uphold thespirit of democracy and the sense of responsibility to complete the meeting’sagenda with high consensus./.

The dispatch states that in implementing Conclusion No. 18-KL/TW dated April 2, 2026 of the 14th Party Central Committee on the 2026–2030 socio-economic development plan, national finance, public debt management and medium-term public investment, linked to the goal of achieving double-digit economic growth, the Government on April 29 issued 11 resolutions on cutting, decentralising and simplifying administrative procedures, business conditions, and conditional business lines. The Prime Minister subsequently directed ministries, agencies and localities to implement these resolutions.
