Hanoi (VNA) – The national public serviceportal, an electronic platform to connect the Government with people andenterprises, was officially opened nationwide on December 9 after nine monthsof construction.


Speaking at the launchceremony held in Hanoi, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc lauded ministries, agencies,localities, and especially the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group, for building the portal.

He said the birth of theportal has affirmed the government and PM’s determination to step up thepractical and effective building of e-government.

The PM requested building alegal framework for the effective implementation of administrative proceduresand online public services.

The Ministry of Informationand Communications was required to present the draft Decree on electronicidentification while the Ministry of Public Security will propose the buildingof the Decree on personal data protection by January 2020.

The Government Office wasassigned to submit the draft Decree on administrative procedures in electronicenvironment.

Theportal at http://dichvucong.gov.vn consists of six components, namely national database onadministrative procedures and the frequently asked questions and answersrelated to the procedures, on-time login and verification system to connectwith ministerial and provincial-level public service portals, e-payment system,opinion section for citizens and enterprises, integrated public services ofministries, agencies and localities, and online supporting services.

Initially,it will offer five online public services in all 63 provinces and cities,including issuance of driving licenses, announcement of promotion activities,reissuance of health insurance cards, provision of electricity services, and paymentof electricity bills.

Moreover,it will also provide four ministerial-level public services like issuinginternational driving licenses, registration for promotion activities, grant ofcertificates of origin of goods, and e-tax payment for businesses.

It is expected to help the Statesave more than 4.2 billion VND (182,000 USD) per year.

At the event, under the witness of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc andDeputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam; Minister and Chairman of the GovernmentOffice Mai Tien Dung, Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh, Minister ofTransport Nguyen Van The, Deputy Finance Minister Vu Thi Mai, Governor of theState Bank of Vietnam Le Minh Hung, Director of the Vietnam Social SecurityNguyen Thi Minh and Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee NguyenDuc Chung signed an electronic agreement to develop the portal in service ofthe people and businesses./.

Coast Guard Region 3 intensifies patrols to combat IUU fishing

Vietnam Red Cross launches emergency aid for storm-hit provinces

The Vietnam Red Cross Society has decided to allocate over 3.3 billion VND (125,472 USD) in cash and goods to assist Dak Lak, Gia Lai, and Quang Ngai provinces, with the funding from its H2025 relief account at Vietcombank and from the “Clean Water for Communities” project, sponsored by Procter & Gamble (P&G) through Americares.

Vietnamese, Chinese border guards coordinate to promote legal awareness among residents

During the four-day programme, thousands of leaflets were distributed, covering topics such as border management agreements and protocols, the agreement on regulations for management of the Vietnam–China land border, immigration and customs laws, border gate management, and measures to combat smuggling and trade fraud, as well as the importance of safeguarding national sovereignty and border security.

PM visits residents, armed forces in Thanh Hoa's border commune

Breeding cows presented to poor households along Vietnam–Cambodia border

Tuyen Quang works hard to maximise state revenue in 2025

Tuyen Quang’s state budget revenue was estimated at more than 5.55 trillion VND (210.8 million USD) in the first 10 months of 2025, reaching 91% of the target assigned by the Prime Minister and 62.5% of the plan set by the provincial People’s Committee.
