The 10th national sport festival of ethnic minority groups in central, south central and Central Highlands provinces and Ho Chi Minh City officially opened in Dak Lak on May 31 evening.

Dak Lak (VNA) -The 10th national sport festival of ethnic minority groups incentral, south central and Central Highlands provinces and Ho Chi Minh City officiallyopened in Dak Lak on May 31 evening.

The event saw theparticipation of athletes from 17 regional provinces and cities, namely GiaLai, Kon Tum, Lam Dong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa,Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Nong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen,Quang Ngai, Quang Nam and the host Dak Lak.

The athletes willcompete in seven sports, including football, volleyball, stick-pushing,crossbow shooting, tug of war, running and walking on stilts.

The festival isdesigned to introduce and honour cultural values and traditional sports ofethnic minority groups, preserve folk games and widely develop physicaltraining and sport playing movements.

The event will rununtil June 4./.

Exhibition on President Ho Chi Minh opens at EXPO 2025 in Japan

Bookcase project helps spread Vietnamese language in Thailand
