Nation’s highest bridge opens to traffic

Construction of the bridge with abutments of 98 metres high, the highest in the country, started in May 2007.

The inauguration of the 938-m long bridge that connects Son La and LaiChau provinces in the northern mountainous region facilitates vehiculartraffic between the two and also effectively serves the northwesternregion’s socio-economic development strategy and national defence./.

HCM City tackles fishing violations at roots

As of December 9, all of the 4,475 fishing vessels in HCM City had registered and updated in the VNFishbase database, of them 4,268 licensed. The remainder, classified as ineligible, are strictly monitored and kept moored locally, with no permission to put to sea.

Vietnam, IAEA comprehensively assess national nuclear power infrastructure
