Nearly 24 million USD to be invested in modernising Quang Ngai’s irrigation system

The Prime Minister has given in-principle approval to a project modernising the central province of Quang Ngai's irrigation system for better climate change adaptation, which has total investment of 23.86 million USD.
Quang Ngai (VNA) – The Prime Minister has given in-principle approval to a project modernising the central province of Quang Ngai's irrigation system for better climate change adaptation, which has total investment of 23.86 million USD.

Of the total capital, 19.2 million USD comes from the Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s Ordinary Capital Resources (OCR).

The project covers Binh Son, Son Tinh, Tu Nghia, Nghia Hanh, Mo Duc, Ba To districts, Duc Pho township, and Quang Ngai city. It will be implemented from June 2022 to June 2026.

It aims to modernise 28 cannals of the Thach Nham irrigation work which has a total length of 94.153km, while building a new pumping station and reparing seven others. The valves of Nui Ngang reservoir will also be upgraded.

The project also included the application of measures for effective management of internal field water.

Once completed, the project will help strengthen local capacity to adapt to climate change, and enhance the efficiency of its irrigation system serving the province’s agricultural restructuring./.

Car sales increase sharply in June

Passenger cars accounted for the largest number of sales with 22,934 vehicles, up 14.6% over the previous month. Meanwhile, sales of commercial vehicles reached 8,782, down 2%, while specialised vehicle sales reached 261, up 23% over the previous month.
