New chapter of Vietnam–US partnership after 30 years of normalisation

2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the normalisation of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United States (July 11, 1995 - US time; July 12, 1995 - Vietnam time). Over the past three decades, bilateral relations have grown robustly across multiple fields. The two countries established a Comprehensive Partnership in 2013, and upgraded ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in September 2023, opening a new chapter in bilateral cooperation.
