Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina, was actually 3,147.3 metres in height, according to the Department of Survey Mapping and Geographic Information.

This means Fansipan is about 4 metres higher than the previous measurement calculated by the French in 1909, which had been officially refered in many documents over the past 110 years. The new result has high accuracy because Vietnamese authorities used various modern methods of measurement.

Fansipan is the highest mountain in the Hoang Lien Son range located in Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province. It is recognised as “Rooftop of Indochina”.

If you want to conquer Fansipan, summer is an ideal period. On sunny days, you can witness the scenic beauty of Sapa./.
