A delegation of businessmen from Hong Kong signed a contract toimport around 7,000-8,000 tonnes of rice with enterprises in Soc Trangprovince and said they will explore the market and sign more contractsin the future.

Chairman of the Vietnam Food Association(VFA) Truong Thanh Phong said the VFA has exported nearly 40,000 tonnesof rice to Hong Kong and expected to sign more contracts to ship riceto this market.

According to VFA, there will not beremarkable changes in Vietnam's rice output this year and the countryexpects to export 6.5-7 million tonnes of rice./.

HCM City to use municipal budget for Metro Line No. 2 project

The Metro Line No. 2 project has an estimated investment of nearly 47.9 trillion VND (2 billion USD) and has nearly completed land clearance, at 99.8%. The NA’s Resolution 188 authorises HCM City to develop seven metro lines spanning 355 kilometres over the next decade, with preliminary total investment for the 2025-2035 phase estimated at 40.2 billion USD.
