Singapore (VNA) - A shipment of nine armoured military vehicles used by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) is being held at Hong Kong's Kwai Chung Container Terminal, Singapore's Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) said in a statement on November 24.
According to the statement, the shipment of Terrex Infantry Carrier Vehicles (ICVs), used by SAF for overseas training, are delayed in Hong Kong (China) when being shipped from Kaohsiung, Taiwan (China) to Singapore.
MINDEF said Singapore authorities are providing relevant assistance to the Hong Kong Customs and expect the shipment to return to Singapore expeditiously.
It added that the Terrex ICVs were used by the SAF in routine overseas training and shipped back via commercial means as with previous exercises.
Terrex is Singapore’s latest eight-wheel vehicles, annually used by SAF for training in a military camp in Hsinchu province, southwest of Taiwan./.
