Ninh Binh (VNA) – During the 2023 Ninh Binh tourism week themed "The Golden Colour of Tam Coc - Trang An" that took place from May 27 to June 4, the northern province of Ninh Binh welcomed about 172,570 visitors, double the figure of last year’s event.

The province called the results impressive for Ninh Binh tourism during what is typically the low season.

Specifically, during tourism week, the province attracted over 30,000 international visitors. The number of visitors to Tam Coc and Trang An tourist sites reached over 72,000 visitors. Hotel room occupancy was about 75% in the whole province and over 80% in Tam Coc and Trang An areas.

According to the leader of the provincial Department of Tourism, thanks to preparation of the local tourism industry and associated businesses, tourism activities ran safely and smoothly.

The tourism week offered visitors the opportunity to take part in activities including walking street and culinary countryside market; cultural activities, arts, and folk games. The week also included exhibitions of local traditional handicraft products, OCOP products, and a photo tour and exhibition about “The golden season of Tam Coc - Trang An".

The tourism week has been organised annually by the province for the past few years to promote the unique, attractive, and outstanding values of tourism in Ninh Binh, particularly the World Cultural and Natural Heritage - Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex./.
