Jakarta (VNA) – There is no information that anyVietnamese nationals were affected by twin blasts in Jakarta on May 24,Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Hoang Anh Tuan told Vietnam News Agency.

The explosions occurred near a Transjakarta bus station inKampung Melayu in the eastern part of the capital.

The suspected double suicide bombing killed three officersand injured five other officers and five civilians. Two bombers, both male, alsodied in the blasts.

Ambassador Tuan said the embassy contacted localadministrative agencies after the blasts to collect information.

No Vietnamese live in Kampung Melayu, he added.

He warned Vietnamese expats in Indonesia to be careful andavoid crowded places or violent hotspots during Ramadan, which often seessecurity problems.-VNA
