NZ helps poor farmers in Binh Dinh province

decided to help central coastal Binh Dinh province to carry out a
project on linking poor farmers to markets, said Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh,
Vice Chairman of the province.

The project has a total capital of 2.14 million USD, of which the NZ government finances more than 1.7 million USD and the province contributes the rest.
It aims to help Binh Dinh province to improve capacity for its agriculture business sector, thus bringing sustainable socio-economic benefit to poor households in the province.
The four-year project includes support to help Tay Son and Tuy Hoa districts increase recognised safe vegetable volume, development of marketing chances for small coconut tree-growing households in Hoai Nhon and Phu My districts, improving the efficiency of small and large-scaled cattle breeding systems, and effectively linking poor farmers to markets and project management./.
