OIF office in Vietnam to enjoy preferential rights

The Vietnamese Government and the International Francophone Organisation (OIF) have agreed on OIF’s Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific (BRAP) and OIF office’s preferential rights and exemption in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese Government and the International Francophone Organisation (OIF) have agreed on OIF’s Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific (BRAP) and OIF office’s preferential rights and exemption in Vietnam.

The agreement signed on September 18 by Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Phuong Nga and BRAP Director Anissa Barrak in Hanoi.

The agreement assigns new tasks for the BRAP, such as promoting the Francophone community in the Asia-Pacific region, promoting resources and capacities of regional countries and institutions in policy making, and consolidating solidarity among the community.

After setting up its regional office in Vietnam, OIF has engaged in cooperation with Vietnam and other countries in the region, contributing to promoting the image and values of the Francophone community as well as the French language in Asia.-VNA
