Oil firm bags nearly 4.4 billion USD in 2019

Hanoi (VNA) - TheBinh Son Refining and Petrochemical JSC (BSR), a subsidiary of the Vietnam Oiland Gas Group (PetroVietnam), has reported gross revenue of 102.82 trillion VND(nearly 4.4 billion USD) in 2019.

According to a consolidated financial report released on January 20, BSR’safter-tax profit hit more than 2.75 trillion VND, contributing over 9.7 billionVND to the State budget.

The firm’s equity increased from 31.37 trillion VND at the end of 2018 to over33.9 trillion VND in 2019. Meanwhile, its liabilities decreased nearly 2trillion VND to 19.5 trillion VND.
Total assets of BSR stood at over53.4 trillion VND.

In the first quarter of 2020, the company wants to ramp up operations at the Dung Quat OilRefinery Plant to its maximum capacity to complete its production targetsfor the year./.

HCM City to use municipal budget for Metro Line No. 2 project

The Metro Line No. 2 project has an estimated investment of nearly 47.9 trillion VND (2 billion USD) and has nearly completed land clearance, at 99.8%. The NA’s Resolution 188 authorises HCM City to develop seven metro lines spanning 355 kilometres over the next decade, with preliminary total investment for the 2025-2035 phase estimated at 40.2 billion USD.
