One more victim of the military helicopter crash earlier this month passed away on July 19, raising the incident’s death toll to 19.

According to Director of the Military Medical Academy Nguyen Tien Binh, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Tuan from the Hanoi Capital High Command breathed his last in the morning of July 19 due to serious burn and injuries.

The MI-171 helicopter with 21 military personnel on board lost contact and came down only 16 minutes after it took off from Hoa Lac Airport in the west of Hanoi for a parachute training exercise on July 7.

The other two survivors are receiving intensive treatment at the National Institute of Burns in Hanoi.-VNA
