Over 1 mln EUR for mangrove forest recovery in Ca Mau

The SNV Netherlands Development Organisation and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) will provide 1 million EUR to help the southern province of Ca Mau recover its mangrove forests through a sustainable shrimp farming model.

The project will helpproducers to follow an integrated shrimp-forest model, Director of theprovincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Van Susaid on May 14.

The project aims at improving local people’s living standard as well as protecting and bringing into play forest resources.
