Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) - The centralprovince of Thua Thien-Hue is expected to house a high-end tourism complex worthover 3.06 trillion VND (131 million USD).

The provincial People’s Committee has issued a decision on the investment planof the project, to be built in Vinh Hien and Loc Binh communes, Phu Locdistrict.

The project, with Van Phu Resort-Loc Binh Ltd., Co. as the main investor, isexpected to be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2023, offeringservices of international standards.

Thua Thien-Hue, which is home to manyUNESCO-recognised tangible and intangible heritages as well as beautifulbeaches, aims to attract about 4.7 million visitors in 2019, with 45 percentforeigners, a rise of about 7 percent year on year.

The province targets 4.9 trillion VND (210.7million USD) in tourism revenue in the year, up 10 percent compared to theprevious year.

In 2018, Thua Thien-Hue welcomed more than 4.3 million visitors, a rise of 14percent, with the number of foreign visitors up 30 percent. Tourism revenuereached 4.47 trillion VND (192 million USD), up 27.1 percent against 2017.Notably, Thua Thien-Hue was chosen as one of the most attractive destinationsof Vietnam. -VNA
