A Politburo member has reiterated the Vietnamese Party and State’s consistent policy that the overseas Vietnamese community is an inseparable part of the nation.

Dinh The Huynh, Secretary of the CPV’s Central Committee and head of its Commission for Popularisation and Education, made the remark while meeting the Vietnamese community in Germany on September 9, during his on-going visit to the European country.

He gave them an overview of the country’s current situation, including the economic and financial restructuring process; the promotion of criticism and self-criticism within the Party; recent economic court cases; and the Party and State’s stance on the East Sea issue.

Huynh also acknowledged that many OV’s want their children to learn the Vietnamese language and need more State support for programmes that promote Vietnamese culture in Germany .

Representatives from the Vietnamese community expressed their belief in the Party and State’s guidelines and polices, saying that every Vietnamese person in Germany will act as a diplomat to attract more investment to Vietnam as well as promote the country’s tourism.

During their trip, the Vietnamese delegation will undertake numerous diplomatic activities to strengthen ties between the CPV and political parties in Germany.-VNA
