OVs to join mass parade for Hanoi’s birthday

Representatives of overseas Vietnamese will join in a parade with armed forces, mass organisations and people from all walks of life on the morning of October 10 to celebrate the 1,000 th birthday of Hanoi.
Representatives of overseas Vietnamese will join in a parade with armed forces, mass organisations and people from all walks of life on the morning of October 10 to celebrate the 1,000 th birthday of Hanoi.

After marching through the Ba Dinh square, the parade will be divided into two to follow two directions, heading towards the main streets in Hanoi and reaching the last destinations – the Opera House and the major crossroads in Cau Giay district.

Also on the same day, large TV screens will be put up at several locations in the central area to serve people watching the live broadcast of the grand celebratory meeting and parade, which are scheduled to last for 100-120 minutes.

A big concert will take place at the My Dinh national stadium on the evening of the same day with a total length of 100 minutes. The show will be concluded with marvellous fireworks displays at some localities in Hanoi./.
