Khanh Hoa (VNA) – A painting exhibitiondepicting Vietnam’s seas and islands is taking place in Nha Trang city fromSeptember 12-15 as part of the National Tourism Year 2019 hosted by the southcentral coastal province of Khanh Hoa.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on September12, Director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Khac Hasaid the event aims to educate on patriotism and awareness of defending thenational sea and island sovereignty.
Some 120 paintings featuring the national seaborder and island sovereignty and building of culture and tourism are ondisplay.
The same day, the festival of cultural villagesin Khanh Hoa kicked off to share experience in preserving communal culturaldiversity, contributing to the building of new-style rural areas and culturalvillages.
The two-day event has drawn more than 400artists from eight cultural villages across the province./.
