A field hospital to treat critical COVID-19 patients is being built at the end of lane 885 Tam Trinh Street of Hoang Mai District, Hanoi.
The hospital construction area is large and isolated from neighboring residential areas. When completed, the hospital will have a maximum capacity of 700 beds.
The project started on July 24, 2021. It is expected to be completed by August 30, 2021.
As noted by VietnamPlus reporters, currently the foundation of the project is nearly completed. More than 400 workers are working 24/24 at the site, to finish it as soon as possible.
To deal with new and complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Hanoi People's Committee issued an urgent document on land use. Under that document, Hanoi plans to use resettlement buildings (including the areas around those buildings) as a place for isolation or field hospital.
The City People's Committee expropriated 10 resettlement housing projects. In which, there were 6 projects invested with the state budget and 4 with capital from other sources.
From April 29 to noon on July 30, there were 1,059 positive cases of SARS-CoV-2 in Hanoi, of which the number of cases recorded in the community was 642. The number of cases in isolation areas is 417./.
