Party Central Committee elects two additional members to Secretariat

The 12th-tenure Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) elected two additional members to the Central Committee Secretariat on May 9, the third day of its 7th plenary meeting.

– The 12th-tenure Central Committee of theCommunist Party of Vietnam (CPV) elected two additional members to the CentralCommittee Secretariat on May 9, the third day of its 7th plenarymeeting.

In the morning of May 9, the Party Central Committee (PCC) discussedpersonnel work under the chair of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The PCC agreed, through voting, to let Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member,permanent member of the PCC Secretariat and Chairman of the PCC InspectionCommission, 12th tenure, to leave the posts of member and chairman ofthe PCC Inspection Commission.

The PCC elected Tran Cam Tu, PCC member and Standing Vice Chairman ofthe PCC Inspection Commission, 12th tenure, as Chairman of the PCC InspectionCommission, 12th tenure. tra

Hoang Van Tra, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee,Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the National Assemblydeputies, 14th tenure, of Phu Yen province, was elected to the PCC InspectionCommission, 12th tenure.

The two additional members of the 12th PCC Secretariatelected at the session today were Tran Thanh Man, PCC member and President ofthe Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; and Tran Cam Tu, PCC member andChairman of the PCC Inspection Commission, 12th tenure.

The PCC considered and reached a decision on the disciplinary measure inthe form of expelling from the Party against Dinh La Thang, PCC member anddeputy head of the PCC Economics Commission.

In the afternoon, the PCC discussed the project on reforming salarypolicy for cadres, public servants, armed forces and employees in enterprises,under the chair of Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Politburo member and Chairwoman of theNational Assembly.

The 7th plenary session of the 12th-tenure PCC is takingplace in Hanoi from May 7-12.

Main issues on the agenda of the six-day sitting include the personnelwork at all levels, especially at strategic level, salary reform for officials,public servants, the armed forces, and workers, and social insurance policyreform, among others.-VNA

Vietnam assumes rotating chairmanship of ASEAN Committee in Argentina
