Hanoi (VNA) – The Secretariat of the Party CentralCommittee decided on disciplinary measures against two officials of thesouthern province of Dong Nai during a meeting in Hanoi on September 10.

The Secretariat dismissed Dong Nai police chief Colonel Huynh Tien Manhfrom all his positions in the Party, namely member of the standing board of theprovincial Party Committee and Secretary of the provincial police department’s PartyCommittee.

The Secretariat said Colonel Manh must bear the main responsibility andthe responsibility of the top official for the serious violations and mistakesof the standing board of the Dong Nai police department’s Party Committeeduring the 2015-2020 tenure. Manh also breached the principle of centralized democracy,Party’s regulations and the Ministry of Public Security’s regulations oncriminal investigations, let many police officers in the province break disciplinesand laws, and committed violations in personnel work.

During the time Manh held the positions as a member of the standingboard of the Party Committee and deputy chief of the provincial policedepartment, he also had to bear responsibility for violations of the standingboard of the Party Committee of the provincial police department during the2010-2015 term, and for letting the traffic police department under his directmanagement commit many violations, some very serious, during many years.

The Secretariat also requested that competent agencies consideradministrative disciplinary measures against Manh.

In the other case concerning Ho Van Nam, member of the standing board ofthe provincial Party Committee, head of the internal affairs division of theprovincial Party Committee and head of the provincial delegation of NationalAssembly deputies, the Secretariat also decided to remove him from the posts ofmember of the standing board of the provincial Party Committee in the 2015-2020tenure and head of the internal affairs division of the provincial PartyCommittee.

The Secretariat also requested the National Assembly Standing Committee considerstripping him of his title as a NA deputy in the 14th tenure.

Nam was disciplined for violating the principle of centralized democracyand working regulations, and for interfering against the rule into the settlementof a number of cases and incidents, violating Directive 15-CT/TW dated July 7,2007 of the Politburo.

During the time holding the position of Secretary of the Party Committeeand head of the People’s Procuracy of Dong Nai province, Nam had to bear themain responsibility and responsibility of the top official for the violationsand mistakes of the Procuracy in directing and handling many cases.

As head of the province’s delegation of NA deputies, Nam also signedsome documents in breaching of the law, showing signs of interfering into thework of competent agencies in dealing with criminal cases.-VNA

NA Standing Committee inspects election preparations in Ca Mau

In Ca Mau, 13 candidates have been introduced for the National Assembly, 73 for the provincial People’s Council, and 1,469 for commune-level People’s Councils. The provincial election committee has designated five NA constituencies and 18 constituencies for People’s Councils at provincial and commune levels.
