Hanoi (VNA) – With their respect and admiration for Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for his great ideology, knowledge, and dedication, many Party members and officials hold that books authored by the Party chief are summary of his rigorous theory across many areas, demonstrating the mettle and strategic mindset of an excellent theorist and leader of the Party and the nation.

Vice Director and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House Pham Thi Thinh said that she had the honour to engage in the editing work of the Party leader’s books since 2004 with 20 books, which has left many unforgettable memories on the veteran editor.

"Through each book, I often draw experiences for myself and try to learn and remember the Party General Secretary's advice, thus doing better in the next books," Thinh said.

She said that for her, editing the Party leader’s books is an honour and responsibility, so she has always done the job with the highest sense of responsibility.

Thinh recalled Party General Secretary Trong’s reminder that books are epitaphs for life, therefore all information in books must be accurate with scientific and political characteristics, while it is necessary to pay great attention to the books’ layout and title.

She said that during the editing process, she had many chances to meet the Party leader directly and received his sharing and teachings that have accompanied her throughout her work.

“Every time I met the Party General Secretary, I learnt a lot from him,” stated Thinh.

Through all the things she had read in the Party chief’s books, Thinh affirmed that General Secretary Trong is a sharp-minded person with great personality, mettle, and dialectical scientific thinking that go beyond normal thinking. The leader always realised what he said, combining erudite theory with rich and lively practical activities, all for the country and the people.

Meanwhile, Lawyer Ha Huy Tu – Director of the Legal Counselling Centre for the Poor and Community Development under the Vietnam Lawyers’ Association - said that Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is an excellent disciple of President Ho Chi Minh, a shining example of revolutionary ethics, a leader of the Party and, at the same time, a theorist with many outstanding contributions to the Party's theoretical work.

Party General Secretary Trong was also the person who initiated and directly led the fight against corruption, other negative phenomenon, and wastefulness from the 11th tenure to now, which has received support and consensus by the entire Party and people.

Lawyer Tu said that he has read many books by the Party chief and found that they are truly precious handbooks with a strategic vision and orientations for all levels, all sectors as well as the whole country and people in the future.

Expressing her grief at the passing of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) Central Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Huong said that the leader is a model of a dedicated official who devoted the whole of his life to the people and always put the interests and rights of the people and the country first, and a shining example for all generations of officials and Party members, especially in the field of mass mobilisation.

Leading a life of simplicity, he received great respect from officials, Party members and people, said Huong.

Huong said the Party chief’s books, especially the one on building and developing advanced Vietnamese culture rich in national identity, are rich in knowledge. She said she is impressed with a thorough argument in the book regarding measures to ensure that the people is the subject of culture creation and at the same time the beneficiary of cultural achievements.

“Studying the book by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, we see more clearly the direction for the activities of the VWU in the coming time, helping women fulfil the criterion of being healthy in the movement of building Vietnamese women in a new era," stated the VWU Vice President./.
