General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong has sent a message of congratulations to the First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Kim Jong Un, on the occasion of the party’s 70th founding anniversary.
In his message, General Secretary Trong highlighted that in the past seven decades, under the leadership of the Workers’ Party, founded by late President Kim Il Sung, who was succeeded by late leader Kim Jong Il and First Secretary Kim Jong Un, the DPRK people have reaped significant achievements.
The CPV and Vietnamese people wish the party and people of the DPRK to create even greater successes in the cause of building and protecting the socialist DPRK of peace and prosperity, he said.
The CPV leader expressed his hope that the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two Parties and the two nations, fostered by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung and many generations of leaders, will further develop in the future for the mutual interests of the two peoples as well as for regional and global peace, cooperation and development.-VNA
