A National Assembly delegation led by Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son visited the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to foster partnerships between the two legislative bodies.
On July 7, Son held talks with a delegation from the DPRK’s Supreme People’s Assembly led by Vice Chairman Ahn Dong-chun, during which both sides expressed their delight at the growing traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries, the Quan doi Nhan dan reported.
They pledged to work closely to reinforce and promote the ties in the future.
The two sides briefed each other on the realities in their respective countries, discussed measures to bolster partnerships and shared views on issues of mutual concern.
The same day, Son and the Vietnamese delegation paid tribute to late DPRK Presidents Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il in Mansudae Hill. They also visited and presented equipment to the Vietnamese language faculty at the Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies.
On June 6, Chairman of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly Choe Thae-bok also hosted a reception for the Vietnamese delegation.-VNA
