Party leader receives Chinese Communist Party delegation
Liu, who is also Secretary of the CPCCC Secretariat and Director of
the CPC’s Propaganda Department, is leading a CPC delegation to visit
Vietnam and attend the eighth theoretical workshop between the
Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China.
Party General Secretary Trong warmly welcomed the visit by a CPC
delegation, expressing his hope that the successful organisation of the
workshop, which focused on renovating economic growth model in Vietnam
and changing economic development mode in China, will enrich
knowledge and theories on renovating economic growth model for
sustainable development.
He spoke highly of the results of
theoretical talks between the two Parties, saying that the exchange of
information and experiences between the two sides in research and
creativeness is necessary and important to further boost relations
between the two Parties and nations.
He also expressed his
delight as the two countries have overcome difficulties to maintain and
develop the Vietnam-China comprehensive cooperative strategic
partnership intensively, bringing in practical interests for the two
people, making important contribution to peace, stability, cooperation
and development in the region and the world at large.
General
Secretary Trong added that the Vietnamese Party, State and people
consistently attach great importance to consolidating and developing the
comprehensive cooperative strategic partnership with China,
considering it one of the top priority in the country’s foreign policy.
At the meeting, Liu briefed General Secretary Trong of China’s recent developments and said that that the Chinese Party and
Government attach importance to developing the comprehensive strategic
cooperative partnership between the two countries in order to strengthen
the ruling status of each Party and promote building of socialism in
each country.
China is consistent, together with Vietnam,
to solve satisfactorily issues existed in the relationship, increase
consolidation and development of ties between the two Parties and
countries in the coming time, he affirmed.
He highly valued the
significance and practical effect of theoretical workshops between the
two Parties, describing the development of mechanism for holding such
workshops as a spotlight in cooperation between the Communist Party of
China and the Communist Party of Vietnam.
He said he believed
that cooperation between the two Parties’ propaganda and education
agencies will be expanded, contributing to the relations between the two
Parties, countries and peoples.
Also the same day, Vietnamese
delegation led by Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, Secretary of the
Party Central Committee and Head of the Commission for Popularisation
and Education, held talks with the Chinese delegation.
Both sides
informed each other of recent situation of each Party and nation, and
discussed relations between the two Parties and countries, the two
Parties’ work on theory and thought, orientation and plans for
cooperation between the two commissions as well as international and
regional issues of common concerns.
The two sides signed an
agreement on mechanism for cooperation and exchange between the two
commissions, thus helping deepen the two commissions’ cooperation and
contributing to developing the traditional friendship and comprehensive
cooperation between the two Parties and countries.-VNA
