Party official pays Christmas visit to Protestant community

Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai extended her Christmas wishes to Catholic dignities and followers when visiting the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) (ECVN) and the head of the Church Pastor Nguyen Huu Mac on December 17.

 Hanoi (VNA) - Head of the PartyCentral Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai extendedher Christmas wishes to Catholic dignities and followers when visiting theEvangelical Church of Vietnam (North) (ECVN) and the head of the Church Pastor NguyenHuu Mac on December 17.

Mai hailed the priests and followers of the ECVNfor observing the principle of living gospel and serving God while cooperating withpeople in the country to carry out policies of the Party and laws of the State.

She also expressed her hope that Protestant pastorswill continue guiding followers in practicing their religion in line with thelaw, and contributing to the national construction and defence.  

Pastor Nguyen Huu Mac thanked the Party andState and the Vietnam Fatherland’s Front for supporting Protestants, affirming thatthe church will make more contribution to the nation’s development.-VNA

Lithuanian President concludes official visit to Vietnam
