Head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Vuong Dinh Hue has appreciated contributions to Vietnam’s economic development by Sanjay Kalra’s, the International Monetary Fund’s Resident Representative for Vietnam and Laos.
During the meeting in Hanoi on July 27 with Sanjay Kalra, who is going to finish his tenure of working in Vietnam, Hue spoke highly of the IMF official’s close cooperation, especially his precious assistance and advice in the past four years, contributing to promoting ties between Vietnam and the IMF.
Hue hoped the IMF would continue increasing cooperation, especially in research and assessment with frank views, to assist in the Economic Commission’s consultative and research tasks.
He wished Kalra, in his new position, would continue to support Vietnam and foster the cooperation between the commission and the IMF.
At the meeting, Kalra emphasised that maintaining stabilising the macro-economy is vital and that the leadership of the Party is very important, including the commission’s consultative role.-VNA
