Party, State leaders, parliamentarians commemorate President Ho Chi Minh

Party and State leaders and National Assembly (NA) deputies paid homage to President Ho Chi Minh to mark the late leader’s 130th birthday on May 19, one day ahead of the 14th parliament’s ninth session.

Hanoi (VNA) – Party and State leaders and NationalAssembly (NA) deputies paid homage to President Ho Chi Minh to mark the lateleader’s 130th birthday on May 19, one day ahead of the 14th parliament’s ninthsession.

Those joining in the event, which is also aregular activity ahead of each parliamentary session, included Politburo memberand NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Politburo member and Permanent Member ofthe Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong, along with Secretaryof the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front(VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man.

Other Politburo members, secretaries of theParty Central Committee, the Vice President, NA vice chairpersons, deputy primeministers, officials of ministries and sectors, along with legislators werealso present.

Laying wreaths at the late leader’s mausoleum,the delegates expressed their endless gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, whodevoted his entire life to national independence, freedom and the people’shappiness.

Following this, the NA convened a preparatorymeeting for the ninth session.

The ninth session of the 14th-tenure NA isscheduled to start on May 20.

The event will be held online from May 20 to 29,and deputies will gather at the NA building in Hanoi from June 8 to 18.

Also on May 19, leaders of the Party Committee, People’sCouncil, People’s Committee and VFF Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, along withthe local populace, paid tribute to the late President at the Ho Chi MinhMuseum in the city and his statue in District 1./.
