Hanoi(VNA) – The people-to-people diplomatic activities, especially the Vietnam-Indiafriendship festival, have helped bolster friendship between Vietnam and India,said Vice President of the Vietnam-India Friendship Association Ha Minh Hue.

Hue was hosting adelegation from the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship ledby its Vice President Pujari Gobardhan in Hanoi on January 25.

He held that thepromotion of the Vietnam-India to comprehensive strategic partnership hasfacilitated the friendship, cooperation and people-to-people diplomaticactivities between the two sides.

The Vietnam-IndiaFriendship Association has paid much attention to expand friendship andcollaboration with India, while maintaining sound relations with the IndianEmbassy in Vietnam, and coordinate with the Indian side in organising people-to-peoplediplomatic activities, thus strengthening friendship and mutual understandingbetween the two peoples, he said.

For his part, PujariGorbardhan pledged that his organisation will continue assisting Vietnam duringits national construction and defence, showing his belief that theVietnam-India friendship will continue to thrive.

Within the frameworkof the Indian delegation from January 24-27, they will visit Ninh Binh andQuang Ninh provinces to work with the Vietnam-India Friendship Associations ofthe localities on expanding exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.-VNA

NA deputies continue to discuss amendments to Constitution on May 14

The draft resolution to amend and supplement certain articles of the 2013 Constitution comprises two main articles. Article 1 outlines eight proposed amendments and additions to existing constitutional provisions, focusing on the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and other socio-political organisations, administrative units, and the organisation of local government. Article 2 contains three clauses dealing with enforcement and transitional provisions of the amendments.
